| Reference material Every painting starts with as much reference material that I can find. Sometimes I use photographs and drawings of different things to make up a picture for a painting. Then put most of them together in a sketch to get the right composition that looks good to me. Other times, I just king of wing it. I do not use anything, just start sketching on the canvas and see what happens. |
